Description

  • Direct the design and development of UI elements including menus, navigation, HUD, and visual effects.
  • Translate complex game mechanics and data into clear, intuitive player choices and layouts.
  • Collaborate with Art, Narrative, and Core Gameplay teams to integrate UI into the broader game experience.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design standards across the UI/UX experience.
  • Develop UI/UX systems that support player options and customization.
  • Mentor UI/UX designers and provide feedback throughout the production process.
  • Oversee asset production from concept through final implementation.
  • Maintain quality standards across all development phases.
  • Ensure the visual style aligns with established art direction and supports immersion.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of UI/UX design experience in the games industry.
  • Significant background in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate vision to stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current UI/UX tools, graphic design principles, and technical implementation pipelines.
  • Expert knowledge of usability, player behavior and psychology, and accessibility standards in interactive media.
  • Passion for Dungeons & Dragons and roleplaying game systems.
  • Ability to translate complex tabletop mechanics into digital interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of best practices for intuitive, player-centric design and video game UI/UX accessibility standards.
