Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Game Production and Japanese IP partners.
  • Compile, review, and deliver written presentations, production review files, and supporting materials in English and Japanese.
  • Translate partner requests and feedback into documented English action items for the appropriate teams.
  • Coordinate intake and delivery of technical requests across internal tech teams and support tool rollout and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with documentation and regular reporting on tool and process updates.
  • Build and maintain project timelines, projections, and metrics using Smartsheet, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Track risks, surface challenges, and proactively remove blockers to keep projects moving.
  • Flag scope shifts and ensure high-quality assets are delivered on established deadlines.
  • Support production editing, creative technology, and card production work across Game Production.
  • Help improve workflows and reduce manual updates through repeatable processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in games, entertainment, technology, licensing/franchise work, or high-output print production.
  • Experience running multiple overlapping projects and schedules.
  • Skilled in Smartsheet, Excel, Jira, Confluence, Acrobat, PowerPoint, and print or digital asset pipelines.
  • Professional proficiency in English speaking and writing.
  • Working professional Japanese proficiency (N3 or higher) with ability to read, write, speak, and understand Japanese.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and a love of Japanese culture and intellectual properties.
  • Ability to lead tool testing, track metrics, gather feedback, and develop process improvements.
  • Ability to organize high volumes of detailed information and communicate clearly across audiences.
  • Experience working in a Japanese business environment (preferred).
  • Understanding of Magic: The Gathering gameplay and terminology (preferred).
  • Familiarity with digital asset management, software rollout/release, Jira ticket lifecycle, task automation, Miro, Esko WebCenter, Claris FileMaker, or Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
