Description

  • Manage all real estate matters for renewable energy projects.
  • Oversee title work, including preliminary searches, pro forma negotiations, endorsements, and policies needed for financial closing.
  • Manage title insurance company relationships and negotiations.
  • Commission and review ALTA surveys.
  • Cure title issues needed for title policy issuance by coordinating outside consultants and legal resources.
  • Prepare, review, and support lease documents, lease options, and purchase options.
  • Obtain required easements and crossing agreements with support from project developers.
  • Support commercial, finance, and legal teams with real estate diligence.
  • Prepare and maintain the real estate data room.
  • Obtain title policies, endorsements, estoppels, affidavits, and other required closing documents from debt and equity sources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of real estate paralegal experience or title company experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience with title and survey work, including title commitment review, title policy negotiation, curative work, leasing, and real estate purchase and sale transactions.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience with real estate development projects, specifically renewable energy projects.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents.
  • Experience reviewing title work and surveys.
  • Strong organizational, time management, oral communication, and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of legal and real estate vocabulary.
  • Experience working successfully with peers, subordinates, management, and unaffiliated third parties.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, professional, and a strong team player.

Benefits

  • Remote position with working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time.
  • Up to 15% travel.
  • Salary range of $160,000 to $180,000.
