Description

  • Prospect and generate new business through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and local industry networking.
  • Conduct in-field sales conversations with ranchers and livestock operators in settings such as ranches, auctions, and association meetings.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and identify upsell and growth opportunities within the territory.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and meet ambitious revenue and growth targets.
  • Own customer accounts after the sale and maintain strong relationships to support long-term satisfaction.
  • Lead smooth handoffs from sales to onboarding and deployment teams to ensure a successful customer transition.
  • Serve as the primary territory contact for gathering customer feedback and advocating for customer needs internally.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, and Customer Onboarding teams to resolve issues quickly and improve the customer experience.
  • Represent Halter at industry events and demonstrations to generate leads and deepen market relationships.
  • Contribute territory insights to help optimize and evolve the US sales strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience in ranching, cattle operations, or a closely related agricultural environment.
  • History of creating new business opportunities and having value-based sales conversations.
  • Experience building long-term customer relationships and expanding accounts through upsell opportunities.
  • Experience managing a large territory with a balance of sales and customer success, ideally in agriculture or technology.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven attitude.
  • Resourceful problem-solving ability and comfort working cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 75% within North Dakota.
  • Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies is preferred.
  • Background in customer-facing agriculture technology roles is preferred.
  • Background in selling B2B SaaS solutions is preferred.
