Description

  • Handle high-volume inbound calls, chats, and emails from customers across the discovery, qualification, sales, decision, and onboarding stages.
  • Maintain accurate lead and customer notes in Salesforce.
  • Advise customers on selecting Gusto as a payroll platform.
  • Guide customers through account setup and initial onboarding.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and customer empathy in every interaction.
  • Use solutions-selling and advisory sales techniques to support small business customers.
  • Participate in community and career development opportunities.
  • Use AI-powered workflows as part of daily selling work and provide feedback to improve tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify friction points and influence future product or workflow improvements.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of previous experience in a high-volume sales or customer service environment.
  • Experience cross-selling, upselling, or working against quotas or KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and chat.
  • Customer-first mindset with a commitment to empathy and ethical business practices.
  • Strong motivation to achieve goals and continuously improve.
  • Ability to adapt to change and stay effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven day-to-day experience integrating AI into writing, research, preparation, and summarization workflows.
  • Track record of giving clear, useful feedback to improve tools and processes.
  • Availability to complete mandatory training from August 3 to August 21, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST.
  • Willingness to attend in-person training in Denver, CO during the week of August 17 - 21.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay of $23.00 - $24.50 for Denver, Las Vegas, Chicago, Atlanta, and Phoenix.
