Description

  • Design and stand up foundational AI infrastructure for the legal team.
  • Package individual Claude-built workflows, dashboards, and assets into shared, maintainable team tools.
  • Build integrations between AI tools and other systems using MCPs, APIs, or similar connection patterns.
  • Develop a structured, queryable legal knowledge repository that continuously ingests research, positions, precedents, and playbooks.
  • Implement AI-assisted workflows for high-volume legal use cases such as contract first-pass review and matter intake and routing.
  • Support litigation operations workflows for subpoenas, demand letters, notices, and response drafting.
  • Create prompt libraries for recurring legal tasks.
  • Document all systems with maintenance runbooks and hand off administration to designated team members.
  • Train team members on system administration and establish adoption baselines for iteration.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-assisted workflows from prompt to production.
  • Direct working proficiency with Claude or comparable LLMs.
  • Experience with prompt engineering and agentic workflows.
  • Experience integrating tools using APIs, MCPs, or similar patterns.
  • Ability to coordinate with engineering or IT teams on integrations and technical execution.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and translating legal or business problems into working systems.
  • Familiarity with internal technology governance processes, including tool approvals, data access, and security reviews.
  • Bonus: experience working alongside attorneys and understanding contracting workflows, matter intake, and legal research cycles.
  • This is a fixed 3-month engagement at approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Ability to work from a Gusto office 2-3 days per week if based in Denver, San Francisco, New York City, or Scottsdale, or maintain a secure, reliable, consistent internet connection when remote.
