Description

  • Provide pre-sales technical guidance and product recommendations to support Account Executives and new business pursuits (approx. 90% pre-sales, 10% delivery).
  • Develop and maintain deep operational knowledge of security tools, architectures, and processes across the security ecosystem.
  • Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with key vendors and emerging technology partners and coordinate vendor enablement activities (e.g., vendor days).
  • Evaluate and compare vendor technologies and competitive solutions to determine fit for client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Serve as design/architecture lead and primary technical interface for clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Lead and tailor solution demos and workshops with vendor support, and run requirements‑gathering sessions.
  • Produce, socialize, and document operational and technical requirements and provide solution pathways aligned to client maturity, budget, and strategy.
  • Perform technical validation and rationalization of proposed solutions, including risk‑mitigation and compliance‑aligned documentation support.
  • Assess client people, processes, and technologies to identify gaps/overlaps and recommend remediation or optimization strategies.
  • Coach client teams, align technical roadmaps with program objectives, and continuously update architectural plans to reflect evolving needs.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of operational security processes, technical architectures, and ability to represent industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to compare, evaluate, and validate complex vendor solutions and articulate tradeoffs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences and influence client executives and technical teams.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating with partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead demos, workshops, and requirements‑gathering sessions.
  • Consultative advisory experience, including supporting or developing RFIs/RFPs and enterprise procurement cycles (preferred).
  • Background in architecture, engineering, or security operations, and prior technical leadership with direct client engagement (preferred).
  • Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific certifications).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within the Southeast region; U.S.-based remote work expected with possible on-site requirements for some positions.
