Description

  • Process payroll end to end for multiple entities and varying payroll schedules.
  • Reconcile payroll with labor and timekeeping systems, including labor distribution, posting, and reporting.
  • Research and resolve payroll, benefits, retirement, system, and workbook discrepancies before submission.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and multi-state tax requirements.
  • Audit earnings, deductions, taxes, and employee master data for accuracy.
  • Administer timesheets and support timekeeping systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Unanet.
  • Prepare payroll reports and respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Support payroll integrations and implementations through data validation, parallel testing, and payroll testing cycles.
  • Document procedures and controls while identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and HRIS teams and communicate payroll matters to employees and leadership.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including complex multi-state payroll processing.
  • Government contracting payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • Recent hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Experience with GovCon timekeeping systems, particularly Unanet, is required or highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, multi-state tax regulations, and labor compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing or supporting timekeeping systems and compliance processes.
  • Ability to independently manage payroll cycles with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn workflows quickly, maintain documentation, manage competing priorities, and communicate professionally.
  • Must reside in the DMV area for occasional in-person events and business needs.
  • Process-oriented, resourceful, self-directed approach and comfort working in a growing acquisition environment.
