Description

  • Edit short-form paid social video from creative briefs, raw footage, and creator content.
  • Build strong hooks and pacing to capture attention in the first 1–3 seconds and retain viewers.
  • Produce multiple cutdowns and variants for testing across different platforms and formats.
  • Partner with creative strategists to translate briefs into clear visual editing choices.
  • Incorporate feedback based on strategic intent and campaign performance.
  • Review creator footage, polish it into on-brief assets, and problem-solve around content gaps.
  • Edit to platform-specific specs, including safe zones, captions/subtitles, and native conventions.
  • Stay current on paid social trends, formats, and editing styles.
  • Organize project files, versions, and exports for handoff and tracking.
  • Work closely with brand, strategists, and editors in a fast-paced iterative workflow.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience editing video for paid social, social media, or digital marketing.
  • A strong reel demonstrating short-form editing skills, including pacing, hooks, captions, and platform-native formatting.
  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro and/or CapCut; After Effects is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of specs, trends, and best practices across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Curiosity about the strategy and data behind content performance.
  • Comfort working with raw, imperfect creator footage.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail under deadline pressure.
  • Coachable self-starter who takes feedback well and wants to build speed and range over time.
  • Experience editing UGC or creator content for paid ad campaigns is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fintech, family finance, or consumer subscription products is preferred.
  • Basic motion graphics or animation skills are preferred.
  • Experience using or interpreting paid social performance data such as CTR, hook rate, and thumb-stop rate is preferred.
