Description

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including preparing accurate journal entries and following up on unusual transactions.
  • Support the month-end close process through journal entry preparation, financial analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Review financial statements during month-end close and explain period-over-period changes.
  • Assist with analysis of revenue, cost of sales, prepaid expenses, and other key operating expenses.
  • Review accounts payable metrics, accounts receivable aging reports, and customer cash application to help meet team KPIs.
  • Support and help manage the Accounts Payable team, including review of vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving data validation, reporting, AI tools/agents, vendor communication, systems implementation, and business systems support.
  • Build workbooks, data reporting, automations, journal entries, and reconciliations for new accounting areas tied to product launches and business changes.
  • Support external audit requests for assigned areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with AP/Procurement tools and T&E applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Experience with a corporate month-end closing cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and self-management skills with the ability to prioritize critical projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with complete ownership of work.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
