Description

  • Build and maintain self-service tools and automation to enable engineering teams to ship faster and with confidence.
  • Design and implement standards, patterns, and best practices for containerized and traditional applications.
  • Lead the migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions, designing robust, scalable pipeline architectures and reusable pipeline templates/shared workflows.
  • Mature CI/CD pipelines with improved testing, security scanning, and deployment strategies, including blue-green and canary deployments.
  • Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and related container orchestration concerns.
  • Containerize legacy applications and design migration strategies from monoliths to microservices.
  • Write and maintain Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure and automate provisioning, configuration management, and scaling.
  • Implement and maintain service mesh patterns, monitoring, observability, and enhanced alerting (Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry).
  • Build dashboards and SLO/SLI frameworks, drive incident response processes and post-mortem culture, and optimize application and infrastructure performance.
  • Work with Azure App Services, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Azure networking, and modernize legacy infrastructure components (Windows AD, SSRS, SSIS) as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of DevOps/Platform/SRE experience with significant time in Azure environments (AKS, App Services, VM Scale Sets, Azure Networking, Azure SQL).
  • Proven Kubernetes/AKS deployment strategy, cluster management, and troubleshooting experience.
  • CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms and experience designing pipelines and shared workflows.
  • Experience writing Terraform modules, managing state, and following infrastructure-as-code best practices.
  • Containerization experience (Docker), registries, and security scanning for container images.
  • Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with observability tooling and distributed tracing, metrics, and logging platforms (Application Insights, Prometheus/Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry).
  • Experience with MS SQL Server/Azure SQL including backup, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Must be located in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone and authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer; strong problem-solving mindset and alignment with company values.

  • Base pay range $155,000–$180,000 (base only; individual compensation varies).
  • Participation in an annual incentive bonus plan (pay-for-performance) in addition to base pay.
