Description

  • Drive incident response efforts to resolve critical production issues in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate risk assessments before launches and postmortems after incidents.
  • Ensure decisions are made by the right people and that action items have clear owners.
  • Help teams identify patterns, surface broader risks, and follow through on fixes.
  • Analyze incident data and trends to identify shortcomings in incident response procedures.
  • Recommend solutions to improve incident response practices and prevent future incidents.
  • Communicate and intake information quickly and clearly to different audiences during high-pressure situations.
  • Participate actively in the team’s efforts to reduce incidents and improve company performance.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 PT or 9:00-6:00 PT.
  • Candidates in other time zones must be willing to work West Coast hours.
  • Must be available for on-call rotations during evenings/weekends one out of every four weeks.
  • Ability to stay calm, collected, and effective under pressure.
  • Ability to make decisions and know when to escalate with incomplete information.
  • Strong communication skills for sharing information with different audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience facilitating effective meetings or reviews.
  • Broad understanding of technology stacks, products, and how systems interact.
  • Willingness to learn a wide range of products and technologies.
  • Minimal travel required, about 1-2 weeks per year for on-site meetings.
