Description

  • Design practical and effective user experiences for Grafana’s Incident Response & Management products across desktop web, mobile web, native mobile, Slack, Teams, MCP integrations, and agentic workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, technical writing, go-to-market, and product design peers to iterate on and improve products.
  • Document user needs, pain points, design directions, trade-offs, and detailed designs using product design and visual communication tools.
  • Use agentic tools such as Figma Make, Cursor, and Claude Code where they add value to the design practice.
  • Plan and execute formative and evaluative research initiatives with researchers and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Partner with lead customers through the Customer Advisory Board and Design Partnership Program to gather feedback and validate solutions.
  • Deliver pragmatic, cohesive, and scalable design solutions that balance business, customer, and user needs.
  • Develop deep expertise in the product area, including customer personas, use cases, and workflows.
  • Coach and mentor other designers and contribute to team internal initiatives and ways of working.
  • Help evolve the Product Design team and support the shift toward agentic workflows across Grafana Labs products.

Requirements

  • Remote candidates must be located in the US or Canada, with East Coast US/Canada preferred; exceptional candidates in other time zones may be considered.
  • Experience designing for developers, SREs, and other highly technical users.
  • A portfolio showing design work that improved business goals, metrics, or KPIs for complex, data-rich dev tooling and/or enterprise SaaS products.
  • Ability to make design decisions that balance business goals, product priorities, customer feedback, research insights, and technical considerations.
  • Ability to deliver pragmatic, cohesive, and scalable design solutions in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving standards.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple locations and time zones while shipping and evolving products.
  • Experience working in a fully remote, fast-paced environment with transparency, autonomy, and open communication.
  • A strong personal commitment to diverse perspectives, progress over perfection, follow-through, peer support, and mentoring new hires.
  • Experience designing developer or SRE tools for critical cloud infrastructure, security, or other high-stress use cases is a plus.
  • Experience designing cross-platform developer tool experiences across web, desktop, mobile, CLI, API, MCP integrations, and agentic harnesses is a plus.
  • Understanding of incident response scenarios and practices related to observability, cloud infrastructure, database monitoring, cyber security, or similar domains is a plus.
  • Applicants must provide an example of a successful software product for incident response management or a similar use case and explain why it is effective.

  • Base compensation in Canada ranges from CAD $164,000 to CAD $205,000.
