Description

  • Influence the product roadmap and define your own career objectives within the Alerting squad.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver new frontend features and iterate on them based on results and customer feedback.
  • Drive projects from initial ideation through development, deployment, and operational ownership once in customer hands.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical frontend systems while owning reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in your team’s on-call rotation and take ownership of the services you run.
  • Contribute to Grafana’s open-source projects and collaborate across teams on work outside your immediate scope.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, participate in design discussions, and help shape technical decisions.
  • Continuously learn about the cloud product, customers, and the codebase of a large distributed system to improve product quality and impact.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience building frontend applications (role level: Senior Frontend Engineer).
  • Proficiency with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience using Redux Toolkit and RTK Query for state management and HTTP requests.
  • Familiarity with the grafana/ui library and the Saga design system (preferred).
  • Styling experience with Emotion for React components.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and MSW.
  • Familiarity with Prettier, ESLint, and tooling to automate code styling and quality.
  • Experience with Webpack as a bundler and working in a monorepo setup using NX and yarn.
  • Strong communication skills, an independent remote-working attitude, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
