Description

  • Influence the Alerting roadmap and set your own career objectives within the team.
  • Work with your team to design, deliver, and iterate on new frontend features based on user feedback and production results.
  • Drive projects from initial ideation through implementation, deployment, and operational ownership once in customers’ hands.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning their reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you run in production.
  • Collaborate with Grafana Cloud teams and customers to ensure Alerting works at scale for both cloud and on‑premise deployments.
  • Contribute to Grafana’s open-source codebase and embrace cross-project collaboration beyond your immediate team.
  • Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions, and help shape technical direction.
  • Learn and deepen understanding of the cloud product and large distributed system codebases to improve feature quality and operational resilience.

Requirements

  • Experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience using Redux Toolkit and RTK Query for state management and HTTP requests.
  • Familiarity with the grafana/ui component library and the Saga design system (preferred).
  • Styling experience using Emotion for React components.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing using Jest, React Testing Library, and MSW.
  • Familiarity with code quality and formatting tools such as Prettier and ESLint.
  • Experience with Webpack as a bundler.
  • Experience working in a monorepo/workspace setup using NX and yarn.
  • Comfortable working remotely with strong written and verbal communication skills and an independent attitude.
  • Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and take operational responsibility for services.
