Description

  • Maintain Field Engineering infrastructure, including the pre-sales Demo Kit application, custom demo applications, and deployment tools for workshops and custom engagements.
  • Implement and maintain operational dashboards and alerts for Field Engineering infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and deliver compelling product demos to expand the demo kit library.
  • Create and deliver training materials and product workshops for Solution Engineers, customers, and the community.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on one or more Grafana products to support deep-dive technical meetings, strategic POVs, blogs, webinars, and other enablement activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Presales Solution Engineering, Product, and Marketing to provide tools, collateral, enablement, and expert support to close business.
  • Own content creation and backend systems that allow the Solution Engineering team to scale their customer-facing, community, and revenue-focused activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical experience as an SRE, Developer, Architect and/or successful presales Solution Architect (OSS selling experience is a plus).
  • Proven experience deploying, operating, and maintaining large-scale, highly distributed multi-region production platforms.
  • Software engineering experience delivering at least one enterprise-grade product (design, implementation, code reviews, maintenance).
  • Deep hands-on proficiency with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including IAM, networking, compute, storage, managed services, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience designing and running high-availability and resilient systems (multi-AZ/region, redundancy, health checks) and defining/managing SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and reliability roadmaps.
  • Experience with CI/CD and deployment strategies including automated pipelines, canary/blue-green rollouts, safe rollbacks, and feature flags.
  • Experience with performance and capacity activities such as load testing, capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, and cost/performance optimization.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms and tooling (e.g., Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog).
  • Experience building and delivering technical content for technical audiences, including workshops, demos, decks, webinars, and videos.
