Description

  • Manage, hire, and develop a team of engineers working on Metrics products.
  • Provide regular feedback and support career growth through coaching and career conversations.
  • Act as a project manager and partner with product owners to keep the roadmap defined and current.
  • Engage in technical discussions and help teams reach strong technical decisions.
  • Remove blockers and impediments to improve team productivity.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and help improve team working practices.
  • Work with autonomous engineering teams and support both technical and product decision-making.
  • Interact with customers when needed, particularly large companies using Mimir.
  • Stay current on technical trends to better understand team challenges and product needs.

Requirements

  • Remote candidates must be based in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, or the UK.
  • Experience as a people manager, ideally coaching senior engineers.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to manage a highly technical team and product.
  • Experience working as an engineer before moving into management, or equivalent experience.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Go, Kubernetes, Helm, and Jsonnet.
  • Conceptual understanding of cloud-native, distributed systems.
  • Experience working in a fully remote, cross-time-zone environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures with clear, empathetic communication.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted tooling and interest in using AI-powered development tools.
  • Experience guiding engineers, leading initiatives or small teams, and aligning stakeholders.
  • Understanding of distributed systems principles such as scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, production-readiness, and observability.

  • Base compensation in Sweden of SEK 898,000 to SEK 1,098,000, depending on level, experience, and skillset.
