Description

  • Define and execute the legal function’s multi-year strategy in line with company growth and expansion goals.
  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the board and act as the main legal interface with group leadership.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing legal team with clear KPIs, processes, and accountability.
  • Oversee corporate structure, legal entities, intercompany arrangements, and cross-border legal risk.
  • Lead or support M&A activities, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and legal integration.
  • Manage contract operations across the business, including standardisation, automation, and cycle-time reduction.
  • Protect the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, licensing agreements, and technology rights.
  • Own global licensing strategy and maintain licences across multiple regulated jurisdictions.
  • Lead regulator relationships and monitor regulatory developments across target markets.
  • Establish legal risk, compliance, AML, data protection, KYC/KYB, and responsible gambling frameworks.
  • Lead adoption of legal technology and AI tools to improve function efficiency and output.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships and optimize external legal spend.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of legal experience, including 2-3 years in a senior leadership role such as CLO or General Counsel.
  • Proven experience in iGaming, forex, fintech, or another high-risk industry.
  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional licensing and regulatory engagement.
  • Track record of building and leading legal teams, including team structure, processes, and people management.
  • Strong background in contract management, corporate structuring, and M&A.
  • Tax structuring experience, especially in an international group or cross-border context.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and comfortable driving change while balancing speed, quality, and risk.
  • Experience with iGaming-specific licensing, including offshore and local regulations, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AML, KYC/KYB frameworks, player protection regulation, or AI/legal tech adoption is preferred.
  • Russian or Ukrainian language skills are preferred.
