Description

  • Contribute to the architecture, deployment, and hardening of edge defenses and core routing infrastructure.
  • Drive network security execution across physical, virtual, and cloud network footprints.
  • Automate network security workflows, configurations, and alerting pipelines using Python or Go.
  • Provide network security guidance during cross-functional infrastructure reviews.
  • Partner with Network Engineering to build security into designs from the start.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network posture and help implement changes with leads and peers.
  • Make independent technical decisions with minimal guidance to secure network boundaries.
  • Support defenses against large-scale attacks and external network threats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of direct experience in a security engineering, network security, or infrastructure security role.
  • Experience with network security fundamentals such as BGP, firewalls, and ACLs.
  • Experience analyzing high-volume traffic patterns and mitigating external network threats.
  • Direct experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Scripting experience with Python or Go for automation or security tooling.
  • Experience working in an ISP, telecom, or large-scale data center network environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with securing cloud networking architectures and production workloads in public cloud environments such as GCP or AWS (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills for translating complex network threats into clear recommendations (preferred).
  • Broad knowledge of supporting security domains such as SSO, SAML, or Linux system hardening (preferred).
  • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Benefits

  • US base salary range of $132,800 - $194,500 plus bonus and benefits.
  • Pay is location-based, with final compensation determined by work location and relevant factors.
