Description

  • Build product features across workspace setup, dataset and document workflows, semantic model workflows, metrics, investigations, evidence views, decision workflows, and operator-facing product surfaces.
  • Design and implement backend services, APIs, data models, and application logic.
  • Improve code quality through testing, refactoring, documentation, and better engineering practices.
  • Connect deterministic tools and backend systems to user-facing workflows in a reliable and maintainable way.
  • Improve performance, usability, and overall engineering quality in the core product.
  • Collaborate across product, platform, and ML workstreams to ship production-ready features.
  • Work with the engineering team to refine core workflows across the platform.
  • Ship meaningful product features to a high standard by the end of the internship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant software development experience preferred through internships, startups, research labs, open-source work, or production projects.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and ownership.
  • Experience with backend development, APIs, and relational databases preferred.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks and/or full-stack application development preferred.
  • Experience with testing, code review, debugging, and maintainable application design preferred.
  • Experience with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript preferred.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous product environments and translating product ideas into shipped software.
  • Strong communication and execution skills.
  • Experience with React, Next.js, FastAPI, Django, Node.js, or similar frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with Postgres, workflow systems, dashboards, or analytics/data products is a plus.
  • Experience with auth, permissions, auditability, or evidence-heavy enterprise workflows is a plus.
  • Experience building AI-enabled product features or working alongside ML systems is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for the full internship period.
  • Must be based in the U.S. during the internship.
  • No employment visa sponsorship is available for this internship.

Benefits

  • Paid 12-week summer internship from May through July 2026.
  • Compensation of $23/hour.
  • Remote role based in the United States.
  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
