Description

  • Represent GoDaddy in IETF TLS and related SSL standards working groups.
  • Assess CA infrastructure for architectural gaps, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Define requirements for certificate issuance pipelines, HSM integrations, key management, compliance testing, and CA infrastructure.
  • Develop automation scripts and requirements for continuous compliance monitoring and automated remediation.
  • Establish SLIs and SLOs for certificate issuance latency, availability, and compliance.
  • Define technical roadmaps for certificate lifecycle automation, APIs, integrations, and self-service tools.
  • Research post-quantum algorithms and develop migration strategies for next-generation cryptographic systems.
  • Create specifications for emerging standards and proof-of-concept implementations, including ACME extensions and Certificate Transparency v2.
  • Lead architecture reviews, collaborate with security and cryptography teams, document engineering standards, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience in PKI, applied cryptography, or security infrastructure, with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Strong background in Go, Python, Java, or C++.
  • Deep expertise in X.509, ASN.1, certificate-chain validation, HSM operations, and cryptographic primitives.
  • Experience translating CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements into technical specifications and controls.
  • Experience with distributed systems, API design, database architecture, and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Ability to define requirements for ACME, Certificate Transparency, OCSP/CRL, compliance automation, and testing.
  • Advanced degree in computer science, cryptography, mathematics, or electrical engineering preferred.
  • Experience with post-quantum cryptography, security audits, PKI projects, high-availability systems, and secure key ceremonies preferred.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, OpenSSL, BoringSSL, or PKCS#11 preferred.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or specialized cryptography credentials preferred.
