Description

  • Drive design quality across product initiatives, not just individual features.
  • Translate product requirements into clear design solutions from discovery through shipping.
  • Own end-to-end design delivery, including research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and handoff.
  • Design onboarding, guidance, feature discovery, and expansion flows that increase adoption and customer value.
  • Use product data, customer feedback, and stakeholder input to improve usability, engagement, and conversion.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to scope, iterate, and deliver work within timelines.
  • Maintain and extend the design system so components remain scalable, documented, and easy to use.
  • Help ensure design system updates are reflected in the shipped product, including small code-level changes where appropriate.
  • Improve design processes, rituals, handoff, and feedback loops to reduce friction and raise quality.
  • Use AI tools and agent-assisted coding in the design workflow to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong track record shipping high-quality digital products in startup or scale-up environments.
  • Confident across the full design cycle: discovery, research, information architecture, interaction design, UI, prototyping, and delivery.
  • Excellent product judgement with the ability to simplify complexity and make smart trade-offs.
  • High craft standards with the ability to move fast without losing quality.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to align stakeholders and explain decisions clearly.
  • Comfortable partnering deeply with Engineering and Product in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Practical AI literacy with concrete examples of how AI has been integrated into a design process.
  • Curiosity and confidence getting closer to implementation through prototypes, design systems, agent-assisted coding, or small production improvements.
  • Fully remote, UK-based, with monthly in-person meetings in London.
  • Core working hours of 10am–4pm UK time.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Claude, Cursor, Git, and GitHub.
