Description

  • Manage qualitative and quantitative research projects from start to finish with full accountability for project success.
  • Develop client-ready survey questionnaires, qualitative screeners, and discussion guides with minimal edits needed.
  • Prepare written analyses and PowerPoint presentations that translate research findings into client-ready insights and recommendations.
  • Advise clients with a strong strategic and consulting voice and manage client relationships independently.
  • Moderate qualitative research engagements such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, and online discussion boards.
  • Track project details, organize tasks, and keep teams aligned to timelines without prompting.
  • Oversee fielding by reviewing partials, coordinating with the data team on weighting targets, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Train, manage, and oversee junior staff, including supporting their work and professional development.
  • Lead new business proposal development and help create and deliver presentations with senior staff oversight.
  • Develop research designs and methodological approaches that align with client objectives and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of research experience with a focus on politics.
  • Experience executing every stage of a research project, including both quantitative and qualitative work.
  • Strong strategic and consulting voice.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Client-facing experience, including leading client engagements, is a plus.
  • Experience conducting in-depth interviews and moderating focus groups is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop actionable recommendations from findings.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and manage entry-level employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience catching mistakes.
  • Experience or coursework in statistics and advanced quantitative methods is a plus.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience producing graphical representations of data.

  • Base salary of $110,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
