Description

  • Serve as the CFO’s key partner on GitLab’s highest-priority cross-functional transformation initiatives.
  • Lead Lead-to-Cash optimization across pipeline generation, billing, collections, revenue recognition, quoting, contracting, and order management.
  • Own the finance and operational workstreams for GitLab’s transition from seat-based to consumption-based pricing.
  • Drive the operating model design and infrastructure buildout for global expansion, including entity structure, compliance, intercompany frameworks, and finance systems.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year finance transformation strategy and roadmap across planning, reporting, close, and consolidation.
  • Lead redesign and automation of core finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Own the finance technology roadmap and lead selection and implementation of FP&A, reporting, consolidation, and analytics solutions.
  • Champion AI and intelligent automation use cases across finance and enterprise transformation programs.
  • Partner with accounting, internal audit, and data leadership to maintain controls, support SOX compliance, and strengthen data governance.
  • Build and lead the Finance Transformation Office, including governance, executive reporting, change management, and program execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, executive team, and Board on transformation strategy and business impact.

Requirements

  • Extensive progressive experience in strategic finance, transformation, or enterprise program leadership at public technology companies.
  • Proven track record leading complex enterprise-wide transformation programs with measurable business impact in a high-growth environment.
  • Deep expertise in Lead-to-Cash processes and systems, with cross-functional experience across Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and IT.
  • Firsthand experience with consumption- or usage-based business model transitions, including billing and revenue recognition infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of public company financial reporting requirements, internal controls, and SOX compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite executives and Board members without direct authority.
  • Experience operating in a remote-first or distributed work environment and leading virtually across geographies.
  • Exceptional program management skills with experience delivering large, multi-workstream initiatives on time and within budget.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CFA, or similar certification a plus.
  • Experience in SaaS business models and subscription or consumption-based revenue environments is highly valued.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.
