Description

  • Serve as the technical authority for a specialized product group across discovery, architecture, trials, and Proof of Value evaluations.
  • Lead technical deep dives, workshops, executive briefings, and competitive discussions.
  • Design standardized Proof of Value templates and product-specific success criteria.
  • Create demos, talk tracks, reference architectures, battlecards, playbooks, and enablement content.
  • Support Account SAs and Post-Sales SAs with complex product questions, integrations, objections, and escalations.
  • Transition PoV success criteria and architecture decisions to Post-Sales teams and support initial production adoption.
  • Provide customer, field, and competitive insights to Product Management and Engineering.
  • Support early-access and design-partner programs and represent GitLab at events, conferences, and industry groups.
  • Mentor Account SAs and contribute to the global SME community of practice.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in technical presales, solutions architecture, consulting, or software engineering.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in application or supply chain security, compliance, cloud and hybrid platforms, CI/CD and migrations, or production AI-assisted development.
  • Practical experience with agentic and AI-assisted development workflows in customer-facing presales contexts.
  • Experience winning complex enterprise technical decisions through structured PoC or PoV evaluations with defined success criteria and executive sign-off.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider.
  • Ability to lead technical whiteboarding sessions and present business cases to executives.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to create clear, reusable technical playbooks.
  • Ability to collaborate asynchronously across time zones with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
  • Public speaking, published technical content, open-source contributions, or Kubernetes, cloud architecture, or security certifications are preferred.
