Description

  • Map end-to-end People Operations processes across onboarding, offboarding, internal movement, team member support, and Workday-related operations.
  • Document current-state workflows, dependencies, system steps, manual tasks, and key handoffs to create a complete view of how work happens today.
  • Design future-state processes that improve efficiency, scalability, service delivery, and SLAs across People Operations.
  • Identify gaps and cross-functional handoffs and define a clearer service delivery framework and process inventory.
  • Create clear artifacts and supporting documentation (KBAs, SOPs, process inventories, RACI matrices, decision trees) that teams can use to align on how services should work.
  • Develop roadmaps that outline changes, sequencing, and partnerships required to move from current state to future state.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, People Technology, IT, payroll, legal, compliance, Finance, People Operations leads, and leadership) to gather input and align upstream and downstream handoffs.
  • Support implementation planning with operations leads while enabling team members with practical tools and approaches for documenting and analyzing simpler processes so the function can build capability over time.

Requirements

  • Experience in business process analysis and documentation for complex workflows that include both system-driven and manual steps in HR operations, process improvement, or similar operational environments.
  • Ability to design current-state and future-state process artifacts (e.g., RACI matrices, SLAs, decision trees, cross-functional handoff documentation) and translate them into clear requirements for tools like Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and service delivery tools such as HRIS platforms, Workday, and case management systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to work with technical and non-technical teams, synthesize input, and present recommendations in plain language.
  • Analytical and data-driven problem solving, including reviewing ticket datasets, system configurations, process steps, or spreadsheets to identify patterns, gaps, and prioritize improvements.
  • Self-directed execution and prioritization with comfort defining a work plan and building structure in environments with limited precedent.
  • Experience with HR service delivery models, shared services, process improvement methods, knowledge base or self-service program development, SLA and service catalog design, automation and workflow tools, or process maturity frameworks (preferred).
  • Experience supporting global workforce operations and collaborating asynchronously across time zones (preferred).
  • Willingness to operate in an all-remote, handbook-first, async-by-default culture and produce documentation, KBAs, and SOPs as core deliverables.
