Description

  • Engage public sector customers onsite and remotely with tailored demos, technical presentations, and hands-on workshops.
  • Collaborate with sales to shape and execute account strategies that drive GitLab adoption in government environments.
  • Own the technical evaluation process, including POC and POV design and delivery, tender and audit support, and technical proposal input.
  • Lead Customer Success Plans that define technical success criteria and handoff details for deployment and adoption.
  • Build relationships with technical and business stakeholders to turn them into internal advocates for GitLab.
  • Serve as the customer advocate internally by sharing feedback and insights with Product, Sales, Marketing, and other teams.
  • Maintain and expand expertise in GitLab and related modern software development, operations, cloud, and automation practices.
  • Create reusable examples and assets for customers and partners.
  • Run Value Stream Assessments with support from senior Solutions Architects to identify software delivery improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and ability to meet all applicable government eligibility requirements as a United States Person.
  • Reside in the Washington, D.C. area and be able to travel for onsite customer engagement as needed.
  • Background in technical pre-sales, consulting, or IT roles, ideally with U.S. public sector or federal customers.
  • Hands-on experience using GitLab and familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and related technologies in regulated or security-conscious environments.
  • Ability to connect technical solutions to measurable business or mission outcomes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including leading customer meetings, demos, and value-focused conversations.
  • Openness to learning, seeking feedback, and building new skills.
  • Familiarity with GitLab's Solutions Architect handbook and related resources.
  • Experience guiding customers through evaluations and solution design is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $102,900 to $220,500 USD.
