Description

  • Lead the technical delivery lifecycle from scoping and discovery through implementation and handoff.
  • Design GitLab reference architectures, infrastructure, and implementation plans for cloud and self-managed environments.
  • Deploy and configure GitLab using Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit.
  • Lead source code management and CI/CD migrations to GitLab using Congregate or similar tools.
  • Evaluate scalability, security, compliance, and data integrity considerations in proposed solutions.
  • Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting, including guidance on GitLab Flow and delivery frameworks.
  • Coordinate implementation work across customers, GitLab teams, partners, and consultants.
  • Create delivery kits, documentation, training materials, case studies, and technical presentations.
  • Maintain automation and integration assets with appropriate testing, code review, and maintainability standards.
  • Support SOW creation, technical vetting, staffing assessments, release updates, and approximately 55% billable utilization.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering at least two of the following: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting.
  • Enterprise software development experience translating requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Experience designing and implementing reliable, scalable systems with performance and security trade-offs.
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable automation and integration code, including Terraform modules, Ansible roles, and scripts.
  • Experience migrating systems to GitLab using Congregate or comparable migration tooling.
  • Working knowledge of data consistency and integrity concepts, including ACID properties.
  • Strong customer-facing communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organization, and time management skills.
  • Comfort working remotely and asynchronously with distributed teams and documented decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • UK-based remote availability with willingness to travel up to 50%.
