Description

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and sales enablement for GitLab’s pricing and packaging across the product portfolio.
  • Partner with product management, sales leadership, finance, revenue operations, and other product marketers to align on pricing changes and field feedback.
  • Develop and own the narrative for GitLab’s pricing philosophy and package differentiation.
  • Lead launch readiness for pricing and packaging updates, including sales training, customer communications, and website or marketing journey updates.
  • Track post-launch pricing performance using adoption metrics, customer feedback, and sales insights.
  • Create and maintain pricing playbooks, tier differentiation guides, deal guides, objection-handling frameworks, competitive narratives, and ROI/TCO assets.
  • Build external thought leadership on platform economics, consumption models, and transparent value-based pricing.
  • Lead cross-functional programs to improve how pricing and packaging are communicated and operationalized.
  • Share best practices with other product marketing managers to improve the quality and consistency of commercial messaging.

Requirements

  • Experience leading pricing and packaging product marketing for B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Experience building sales enablement for complex products.
  • Proven ability to translate pricing and packaging changes into repeatable sales motions, messaging frameworks, playbooks, deal guides, and objection handling.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS monetization models such as seat-based and usage-based pricing.
  • Ability to explain how pricing mechanics map to customer value and outcomes across self-serve, sales-assisted, and enterprise segments.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with product management, sales leadership, finance, and revenue operations.
  • Ability to build ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO) assets for pricing conversations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for simplifying complex pricing concepts for different audiences.
  • A data-informed approach using sales feedback, win/loss analysis, pricing analytics, customer research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Comfort working autonomously in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Location-specific eligibility may apply, though GitLab roles are remote and global.

  • United States base salary range of $139,200 to $235,200 USD.
