Description

  • Provide post-sales technical support through phone, email, chat, and on-site visits.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and service outages using software tools and established processes.
  • Escalate critical customer issues through appropriate channels and ensure timely resolution.
  • Install, audit, assess, maintain, deploy, and commission Genetec systems at customer sites.
  • Deliver professional services including proof-of-concepts, training, system assessments, and implementation consulting.
  • Collaborate with Technical Support specialists and R&D engineers to resolve issues and improve products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers as a liaison between customers and Genetec.
  • Document field issues in the trouble ticket system and CRM, and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-base articles.
  • Gather customer feedback, define product and functional requirements, and support customer-specific product development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Genetec solutions and contribute to software and support-process improvements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related technical support, customer service, or project management role.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a physical security environment, including IP video security/CCTV or access-control systems.
  • Strong Windows administration and troubleshooting knowledge, including Active Directory, IIS, clustering, GPO, file sharing, and performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of networking principles, IP protocols, TCP/IP/UDP, and switch and router configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SQL databases and understanding of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and server virtualization concepts.
  • CCNA qualification, basic written and spoken English, and a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently, collaborate effectively, and travel up to 35% for field assignments.
  • Programming experience with C#, Visual Basic, VBScript, PowerShell, or similar technologies; Microsoft SQL Server administration; and MCSE, SQL Server, VMware, or similar certifications (preferred).
