Description

  • Participate actively in the overall application lifecycle.
  • Define and communicate technical and design requirements.
  • Develop and maintain server-side network components.
  • Build high-performance applications with testable, reusable, and efficient code.
  • Design customer-facing APIs and back-end services for business processes.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers on integrating application elements.
  • Implement security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
  • Write technical documentation, including database schemas, and prepare reports.
  • Recommend and implement process and technology improvements.
  • Train, assist, and support other team members.

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a similar field.
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, ES5, ES6, and libraries.
  • Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks such as Express or Fastify.
  • Knowledge of directory integration tools such as Microsoft Entra, OKTA, or Google.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming using AWS SQS or SNS, including quirks and workarounds.
  • Experience using protocols such as gRPC for highly performant applications.
  • Understanding of scalable application design principles.
  • Understanding of differences between delivery platforms such as mobile and desktop, and how to optimize output for each.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Availability to resolve urgent application issues outside business hours.
  • Knowledge of OWASP security principles.
  • Proficiency with Git or similar code versioning tools.
  • Microservice architecture experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development and sprints.
  • Serverless cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
  • Involvement in open-source projects (preferred).
  • Experience writing Terraform scripts to deploy infrastructure on AWS Cloud (preferred).
