Description

  • Lead the technical direction and delivery of developer experience initiatives from roadmap through rollout.
  • Standardize CI/CD build, test, and release workflows using Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Operate and evolve Flux-based GitOps processes for multi-cluster promotion, rollback, and drift detection.
  • Define and maintain Helm chart standards, release processes, and documentation for service teams.
  • Design Kubernetes platform guardrails, multi-tenant patterns, and golden templates on EKS.
  • Build consistent developer workflows across AWS and on-premises datacenter environments.
  • Establish observability and reliability practices, including SLOs, logs, metrics, traces, and automated rollback.
  • Embed security scanning, SBOMs, and policy-as-code into pipelines and cluster admission.
  • Create enablement materials, examples, CLI/templates, and hold office hours to support engineering teams.
  • Partner with Security, SRE, product teams, and engineering leadership to communicate progress and trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or SRE roles.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers.
  • Deep hands-on experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Flux, Helm, Kubernetes, and especially EKS.
  • Significant experience working in both AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD design, artifact and version strategies, trunk-based development, and environment promotion.
  • Strong technical leadership and cross-team influence in platform, DevEx, or infrastructure teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write crisp design docs and present trade-offs.
  • SRE fundamentals including reliability, capacity planning, incident playbooks, and post-incident improvement.
  • Experience with Kubernetes variants such as GKE, Rancher, or other managed/self-hosted distros is a plus.
  • Exposure to Azure and Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience with policy engines, service mesh, progressive delivery, artifact registries, and secrets management is a plus.
  • Experience with Terraform, Crossplane, and configuration management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages used for platform automation, such as Go, Python, or TypeScript is a plus.
