Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the company.
  • Lead execution end-to-end for product and engineering.
  • Harden Ava's voice and workflow systems for in-production reliability.
  • Establish core architecture, observability, and audit-trail standards.
  • Build the internal delivery layer for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing AI performance.
  • Own unit economics and manage the trade-off between AI quality and cost-per-call.
  • Represent the company to lawyers, partners, and investors as the technical voice.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers and expand the roadmap beyond the front desk.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and shape the company culture.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered and voice systems into production where incorrect outputs had serious consequences.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Strong judgment on reliability engineering, edge-case management, and cost/performance trade-offs.
  • Experience building managed or service-heavy platforms without scaling engineering headcount proportionally.
  • Ability to operate with founder-level ownership and decisiveness.
  • Preferred: prior founder or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Preferred: background in legal tech, healthcare, or another trust-sensitive vertical.
  • Preferred: ability to self-host custom models to meet legal and privacy needs.
  • Resume, LinkedIn profile, and a brief note on why the venture aligns with your goals as a founder.
