Description

  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture for the platform.
  • Write the first lines of production code and lead execution end-to-end.
  • Ship the marketing review prototype into production with an early design partner.
  • Deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready logs, and reporting capabilities.
  • Own the training and ongoing evolution of the core AI/LLM model.
  • Own the explainability layer that generates audit-ready evidence on demand.
  • Lead reliability engineering to ensure consistent production performance.
  • Represent the company to customers, investors, and other external stakeholders as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.
  • Partner with the CEO on customer conversion, fundraising, product, technology, hiring, and strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production where incorrect outputs had real consequences.
  • Full-stack experience with applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Direct experience with explainability and reliability engineering in production environments.
  • Comfort making decisive technical calls under uncertainty and owning the outcomes.
  • Strongly preferred: prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Strongly preferred: background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring.
  • Strongly preferred: direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal-level leader with co-decision rights across product, technology, hiring, fundraising, and strategy.
