Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the company.
  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture, including SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Ship the marketing review prototype into production with an early design partner.
  • Deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready logs and reporting, and other core product modules on the stated roadmap.
  • Own the training and ongoing evolution of the core AI/LLM model.
  • Own the explainability layer and reliability engineering so the platform produces audit-ready evidence on demand and performs consistently in the field.
  • Represent the company to customers, third parties, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Partner with the CEO on converting pilots into paying customers and supporting fundraising efforts.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.
  • Help establish the cultural foundation of the company and make decisive technical calls under uncertainty.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production where incorrect outputs carried real consequences.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience with SOC 2, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging in production systems.
  • Well-formed convictions about explainability and reliability engineering, developed through direct production experience.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal and own technical outcomes end-to-end.
  • Strongly preferred: prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Strongly preferred: background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring.
  • Strongly preferred: direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models.
