Description

  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture for the platform.
  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction end to end.
  • Ship a marketing review prototype to production with an early design partner.
  • Deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, and audit-ready logs and reporting.
  • Own the core AI/LLM model training and its ongoing evolution.
  • Build the explainability layer that produces audit-ready evidence on demand.
  • Own reliability engineering so the platform performs consistently in production.
  • Represent the company to customers, third parties, and investors as the technical voice.
  • Partner with the CEO on pilot conversion, fundraising, and company strategy.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production where incorrect outputs carried real consequences.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience with SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Well-formed convictions about explainability and reliability engineering based on direct production experience.
  • Ability to operate as a principal by setting the technical agenda and making decisive calls under uncertainty.
  • Strongly preferred: prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Strongly preferred: background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring.
  • Strongly preferred: direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models.
