Description

  • Quality-check evaluation tasks before independent review.
  • Verify that each task has a correct answer, supporting evidence, and a scoring rubric.
  • Identify errors precisely and explain what is wrong and why.
  • Review subtle verification issues and track down original sources or supporting documents.
  • Cross-check claims against evidence to ensure sources actually support them.
  • Judge which issues need deeper investigation versus which can be resolved quickly.
  • Communicate findings clearly, concisely, and accurately in writing.
  • Work within dynamic weekly delivery schedules and communicated hour expectations.

Requirements

  • Obsessive attention to detail and a strong tendency to catch overlooked errors.
  • Ability to patiently resolve subtle verification problems by tracing claims back to original sources.
  • Calibrated skepticism and the ability to distinguish suggestive evidence from conclusive evidence.
  • Strong written communication skills, including concise and accurate reporting.
  • Ability to judge how much context a teammate needs and when to escalate findings.
  • No research title, technical degree, or prior hands-on experience with AI tools required.
  • Experience as a fact-checker, editor, auditor, analyst, forecaster, QA professional, or operations/program management professional is a strong fit.
  • Comfort handling high-stakes details in areas such as payroll, compliance, or cross-border paperwork.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Availability for an average of 20 hours per week for the contract duration.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work with SF and London as primary in-person locations.
  • Flexible hours.
  • $75 to $125 per hour, based primarily on location.
  • Average of 20 hours per week.
  • 1 month contract with opportunity to extend.
  • Opportunity to convert to a full-time position.
