Description

  • Partner with the Lead QA to evolve and execute the overall test strategy.
  • Champion quality from day one within a cross-functional engineering squad.
  • Build and maintain robust automated test suites for the PCW platform and services.
  • Drive shift-left testing by working early with Product Owners and developers to define acceptance criteria and test coverage.
  • Serve as the squad’s go-to expert for automation best practices, code reviews, defect identification, and end-to-end data integrity.
  • Translate product requirements and acceptance criteria into test conditions, edge cases, and test data.
  • Advise the squad on both functional and non-functional testing needs.
  • Test mobile app APIs, backend integrations, and data flows for resilience.
  • Support automated mobile testing within CI/CD pipelines and across real-device cloud platforms.
  • Validate asynchronous mobile behavior such as offline activity, background sync, caching, and push notification events.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android using JavaScript/TypeScript tools such as Appium, WebdriverIO, or Maestro.
  • Hands-on knowledge of native selectors, deep linking, and mobile-specific gestures.
  • Ability to test APIs powering mobile apps.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and using tools such as Postman.
  • Experience simulating mobile network conditions such as throttling, offline mode, and flaky connections.
  • Understanding of Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for mobile testing.
  • Experience running automated tests on real-device cloud platforms such as Test Mu AI, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
  • Conceptual or hands-on understanding of asynchronous architecture and message queues such as Service Bus.
  • Proven track record in agile environments using shift-left practices.
  • Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
  • Awareness of AI use in QA workflows, with attention to data governance, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
