Description

  • Co-own and maintain multiple Golang applications that power the MDR platform.
  • Maintain and improve a high-performance log analytics engine processing events from thousands of sources.
  • Maintain and evolve post-processing programs that convert engine output into actionable intelligence for SOC analysts.
  • Build and support a multi-tenant secure syslog server cluster that receives, buffers, and routes logs.
  • Develop and maintain a cross-platform security agent that provides endpoint and server visibility.
  • Make architectural decisions across platform applications and contribute to technical design reviews.
  • Lead code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Support knowledge transfer, onboarding, hiring, and transition periods as needed.
  • Develop internal SOPs and software development best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and security operations teams to define, design, and ship features.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years focused on Go development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang, including the standard library, goroutine lifecycle management, and channel-based communication.
  • Experience building thread-safe data structures, worker pool patterns, and memory-efficient code.
  • Mastery of Go interfaces and generics for building modular, maintainable systems.
  • Mandatory use of context for deadline management, timeouts, and structured cancellation.
  • Experience with continuous deployment using GitHub Actions, Docker, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS ECS or EC2.
  • Deep proficiency with Redis, OpenSearch or similar search systems, and SQL databases, including query optimization and atomicity.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, TLS, firewalls, and application-level security.
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure monitoring, and observability practices.
  • A portfolio of delivered production systems and/or open-source contributions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and security operations teams.
  • Comfort with zero-downtime deployment requirements and production incident response.
