Description

  • Build, maintain, and stabilize automated test suites and keep test code well-organized (e.g., SOLID, Page Object patterns).
  • Integrate and operate test automation within CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, and maintain related tooling and workflows.
  • Investigate and solve complex test scenarios and failures, diving into the application code as needed to validate behavior and fixes.
  • Design, deliver, and maintain test infrastructure and provide on-demand support to product teams to unblock releases.
  • Measure, report, and communicate the impact of QA initiatives and quality metrics to provide teams clear visibility into product quality.
  • Coach and upskill stream-aligned teams on QA strategies, test automation, TDD/BDD, and best practices through workshops, pair programming, and mentoring.
  • Assess current testing processes, identify gaps, and collaborate with teams on tailored improvement plans to increase delivery speed and quality.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed shift-left testing practices and foster continuous improvement in quality and delivery workflows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, ideally in SaaS environments.
  • Deep experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and test automation practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and integrating tests into release workflows.
  • Experience with performance/load testing, security testing, and shift-left testing approaches in agile teams.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, and mentoring skills, including delivering workshops and teaching without authority.
  • Comfortable reading and exploring application code and modern web stacks (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) to diagnose issues and write meaningful tests.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure) and tracking quality KPIs across the SDLC/STLC.
  • Analytical problem-solver who identifies process bottlenecks and recommends practical improvements.
  • Fluent English and ability to work remotely within Switzerland (option to work from St. Gallen office or Zurich co-working space).
