Description

  • Own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of Filevine’s site reliability and platform resilience.
  • Direct the prioritization of DevOps, SRE, and DBRE teams under a unified reliability strategy.
  • Set team objectives and ensure resources are focused on the highest-impact reliability and business investments.
  • Conduct risk assessments using incident history, usage analytics, monitoring data, and customer feedback to identify platform fragility.
  • Drive proactive hardening efforts to reduce unplanned downtime and improve incident prevention.
  • Define, track, and report reliability metrics such as uptime, mean time to detect, mean time to resolve, and incident frequency.
  • Own the reporting process that makes platform health visible and actionable for leadership and product teams.
  • Manage status page updates and incident communications during reliability events according to established protocols.
  • Serve as the bridge between SRE, Product, Engineering, Support, Sales, and Partners to align reliability priorities with customer and business impact.
  • Evaluate and manage the observability and reliability tooling stack, including monitoring, alerting, test environments, and infrastructure tools.
  • Establish reliability standards, runbooks, and operational patterns that support shared ownership of platform resilience.
  • Build documentation and training to help engineering teams contribute to reliability practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or reliability-focused product/program management in SaaS.
  • Prior hands-on experience as a software engineer or in a deeply technical role.
  • Ability to read code, review architecture decisions, and participate in technical design discussions.
  • Strong understanding of site reliability principles, cloud infrastructure, database reliability, container orchestration, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience managing or closely partnering with SRE and DevOps teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using monitoring platforms, Pendo, Domo, Salesforce, and incident logs to prioritize work by business impact.
  • Ability to translate complex reliability and infrastructure data into clear narratives for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading incident reviews and high-visibility operational meetings.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, release protocols, and incident response processes.
  • B.S. or M.S. in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent direct work experience.
  • Comparable certifications are acceptable.
  • Demonstrated track record in software engineering and/or site reliability engineering.
