Description

  • Hire and lead the initial engineering team for the Growth Platform.
  • Establish team culture, operating rhythms, and engineering standards.
  • Mentor engineers, support career growth, and help scale the organization as scope expands.
  • Build product capabilities such as personalized messaging, self-service publishing, and cross-system integrations to enable growth experiments.
  • Explore and integrate AI-driven approaches for quality checks, copy generation, and experiment governance.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership by guiding architecture decisions and reviewing system designs.
  • Make build-versus-integrate decisions for platform capabilities and supporting systems.
  • Partner with Marketing, growth teams, and product teams to align messaging and improve the end-user experience.
  • Define and evolve the platform roadmap based on adoption, impact, and learnings from each phase.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience with a strong track record of building and shipping application platforms.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience at the application or product tier.
  • Experience driving outsized impact from small changes and scaling those wins broadly.
  • Ability to think strategically and optimize for both short-term and long-term impact.
  • Experience operating effectively in ambiguous environments while delivering continuous value.
  • Track record of prioritizing by impact, leveraging existing assets, and scaling through platform-level thinking.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, design, and data.
  • Experience at a product-led growth company during a period of multi-product expansion (preferred).
  • Experience building platforms that enable non-engineering teams to run experiments or publish content independently (preferred).
  • Background in personalization systems, recommendation engines, or ML-driven content selection (preferred).
  • Experience integrating with customer data platforms, marketing automation systems, or building user attribute services from product usage data (preferred).
  • Familiarity with using AI for quality assurance, brand consistency, or content governance at scale (preferred).
  • Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) infrastructure (preferred).
