Description

  • Build and maintain production services at scale.
  • Develop new features for internal and external customers.
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack.
  • Develop integrations between Fieldwire and external services and partners.
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Release and support a rapidly growing API with 100% backward compatibility.
  • Build services with efficient auto-scaling for peak and non-peak loads.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a backend role.
  • Experience with modern web application development and relational databases.
  • Strong focus on writing clean, well-tested, modular code.
  • Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or Rust (preferred).
  • Experience working on high-traffic web applications and services (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Docker and containerization (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS (preferred).

Benefits

  • Fully remote within the United States.
  • Estimated salary range of $145,000 to $170,000.
  • Eligible for a corporate bonus of up to 30%.
