Description

  • Advise on legal issues related to company business practices.
  • Review, draft, and assist with negotiating contracts, agreements, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities.
  • Review and update confidentiality agreements.
  • Develop legal training materials.
  • Maintain executed agreements and other corporate documents.
  • Perform additional legal duties as required.
  • Travel globally up to 5% annually for meetings and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an engineering or other technical degree is preferred.
  • Juris Doctorate required.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing to practice law in the United States.
  • Previous legal experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, judgment, and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Spanish or Japanese bilingual skills preferred.
  • Experience living in Japan or working with Japanese companies preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $63,000–$68,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Position may be 100% remote.
  • Ability to work at least one day per week from facilities in Schaumburg, IL; Dayton, OH; Fraser, MI; Bellaire, MI; or Queretaro, Mexico.
