Description

  • Partner with compliance, operations, finance, and technology teams as an in-house legal generalist.
  • Own regulatory implementation projects, including internal policies, compliance frameworks, DORA implementation in Malta, and ongoing regulatory reporting.
  • Lead the legal aspects of new market entry, including entity setup, licensing, and engagement with regulators and consultants.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including complex non-standard contracts in new markets.
  • Advise multiple legal entities on employment, HR, labor law, and employment-related contracts.
  • Manage external counsel when specialist legal advice is required.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 7+ years of experience in-house, in a law firm, or both.
  • Experience working in a regulated or licensed business is preferred.
  • Ability to independently manage a broad range of legal matters and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in managing complex, process-heavy projects that produce compliant operational outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency with modern AI tools and daily experience using them.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues simply.
