Description

  • Set technical direction for the Betting and Gaming platform, including market integration, risk management, tooling, and backend systems.
  • Lead architecture for critical cross-cutting systems that are scalable, resilient, secure, and reusable.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform leaders on priorities, sequencing, and technical trade-offs.
  • Drive complex technical initiatives spanning multiple teams, systems, and regulatory constraints.
  • Establish engineering standards, design principles, and review practices that improve quality and operational readiness.
  • Identify and resolve systemic technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural conflicts.
  • Mentor senior engineers and influence technical decisions with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with deep backend and distributed systems expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to set technical direction across multiple teams or domains.
  • Strong system design and architectural judgment in complex, high-scale environments.
  • Experience building secure, reliable, and high-performing production systems.
  • Track record leading large, cross-cutting initiatives from design through adoption.
  • Strong judgment across scalability, operability, maintainability, and technical trade-offs.
  • Experience building platforms, services, or frameworks that provide leverage across an engineering organization.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills at technical and executive levels.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to company offices, conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities.
  • Experience in platform domains such as identity, payments, loyalty, platform engineering, or developer productivity preferred.
  • Experience with mobile cross-platform technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform preferred.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $230,000–$330,000 USD, varying by geographic compensation zone.
  • Full-time employment with bonus eligibility.
