Description

Directly manage a cross-functional team of engineers.
Partner with product management and design on team strategy and roadmapping.
Translate customer needs into strategic and technical priorities.
Lead scoping and sprint planning for your teams.
Oversee the health and quality of the production system and diagnose defects and system issues.
Identify and scope infrastructure or tooling improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Champion the adoption of AI-driven tools and processes across the engineering organization.
Review architecture, designs, and code to effectively lead the team.
Lead decisions on process and team structure.
Help the company grow quickly while improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

Passion for programming and solving problems with code.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong technical background with the ability to use it day to day.
Interest in new technology and tools for solving real problems.
Track record of leading teams to higher levels of contribution.
Track record of helping team members grow their career impact.
Willingness to write software for a couple of months as part of onboarding.
Willingness to handle software design, code creation, and tooling work directly.
Postgraduate degree in management or business (nice to have).
Experience running engineering teams using metrics (nice to have).
Experience leading through other managers (nice to have).

Benefits

Canada base salary range of $190,500 to $262,000 per year.
Eligibility for equity.
Eligibility for benefits.
Hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one flex day).
Ability to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year in hybrid in-office roles.
