Description

  • Design, build, and operate large-scale multi-region Kubernetes environments across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Own production infrastructure end to end, including incident response, postmortems, and preventative improvements.
  • Build and maintain Terraform modules for complex infrastructure patterns at scale.
  • Design and optimize GitOps-based deployment workflows using ArgoCD ApplicationSets and Helm charts.
  • Develop deployment pipelines that support safe, automated releases across hundreds of microservices.
  • Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve reliability and scalability.
  • Improve service level objectives through capacity planning, autoscaling, and architectural changes.
  • Build and enhance observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, and custom tooling.
  • Implement security controls, compliance frameworks, and secure multi-tenant cloud architectures.
  • Mentor engineers, establish best practices, and collaborate with platform, SRE, and product teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider, with AWS preferred.
  • Strong Kubernetes experience, including cluster design, operators, controllers, and multi-cluster management.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • GitOps experience with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar tools, including ApplicationSets and complex deployment patterns.
  • Deep Linux and networking knowledge.
  • Experience with distributed systems such as Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience debugging complex distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO27001.
  • Excellent communication skills for working across time zones with distributed teams.
  • Self-directed mindset with a track record of owning problems end to end.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Experience with multi-cloud architectures and cloud-agnostic patterns (preferred).
  • Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects (preferred).
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd (preferred).
  • Knowledge of chaos engineering and reliability testing (preferred).
  • Experience with cost optimization and FinOps practices (preferred).
