Description

Define product strategy across fixed income, structured products and AMCs, including the product universe, distribution model, pricing and target client segments.
Identify, negotiate and onboard issuer and distribution counterparties and own those relationships.
Build out the team, including deciding on size, composition and hiring sequence within the approved business plan.
Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Treasury and Technology to design end-to-end workflows and embed them in the trading platform.
Develop financing solutions for clients, including collateral use of fixed income and structured products and financing against portfolio positions.
Own product governance, including suitability frameworks, PRIIPs/KID requirements and applicable conduct rules across relevant booking entities.
Take direct accountability for the desk’s commercial performance and P&L.
Close tickets personally as needed before scaling the team.
Build and operate a distribution franchise that supports professional and HNW clients.

Requirements

12–20 years of experience in fixed income and/or structured products distribution at a private bank, wealth manager or sell-side distribution unit.
Experience covering both cash bonds and structured products is essential.
AMC experience is strongly preferred.
Established counterparty and client network is expected.
Experience building or running a desk is a strong plus.
Working knowledge of MiFID II product governance, PRIIPs/KID and equivalent regimes in the UK and Asia.
Fluent English is mandatory.
Comfortable with full accountability for a P&L.
Player-coach mindset and willingness to handle tickets personally before scaling the team.
