Description

  • Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple data sources into data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Use Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse to orchestrate complex data workflows.
  • Write complex SQL queries and transformations to clean, aggregate, and structure data for business needs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing data pipelines and SQL queries for efficiency and cloud cost control.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Power BI developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver production-ready data assets.
  • Work within evolving business needs as duties and responsibilities change over time.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering with a focus on cloud-based ETL/ELT development.
  • Strong production experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schemas and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience working with data formats such as Parquet, JSON, and CSV.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.
  • Experience with Databricks or PySpark is preferred.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps is preferred.
  • Understanding of how data feeds into visualization tools like Power BI is preferred.
  • Azure certifications, such as DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate, are preferred.
